Rogoz Audio G15 isolation discs have been developed as compact vibration control elements intended for use with spikes in high-end audio systems.
The operating principle is based on reducing vibration transfer between the supporting surface and the device through controlled minimization of the contact area and proper dissipation of mechanical energy. Part of the vibrational energy is converted into thermal energy, reducing the formation of parasitic resonances.
G15 is manufactured entirely from extremely hard NZ3 steel characterized by high mechanical stability and excellent surface resistance. A precision-machined central recess ensures stable positioning of the spike tip and repeatable operating conditions of the mechanical interface.
The minimalist form and compact dimensions allow the discs to be used under loudspeakers, speaker stands and audio equipment equipped with spikes.
An optional version incorporating an additional high-loss damping elastomer layer is also available.
