Four-leg, multi-level design. Multi-layer sandwich shelves, isolated using the proprietary BBS (Balancing Board System). Frame constructed from carefully selected steel grades with differing mechanical properties.

In the presented configuration, the system consists of three four-level modules placed side by side. Each module operates as an independent unit — effectively a separate rack — with no direct mechanical connection to adjacent sections.

This approach eliminates resonant bridges between modules, enabling complete mechanical isolation of individual components. In practice, it allows deliberate separation of devices that may influence each other — for example, an external turntable motor can be placed on one module, while the turntable chassis and platter are located on a neighboring module, with no direct mechanical coupling between them (apart from the drive system itself).

The CONSONANCE/BBS represents a reference-level design within the Rogoz Audio range, engineered for systems with the highest demands in terms of load capacity and vibration control.


Structure and vibration control

The load-bearing structure is designed for exceptional stiffness and resistance to deformation, achieved through double-wall steel profiles at critical junctions.

Additional internal steel sections create a “profile within profile” structure, significantly increasing rigidity.

Different steel grades are used to shape mechanical behavior across frequency ranges.

Each level is isolated using the proprietary BBS system, enabling controlled motion while maintaining point support.

Vibration energy is dissipated progressively through motion, friction, and internal damping.


Load capacity and stability

The structure maintains full anti-vibration performance under loads of up to 150 kg per shelf.

Total system load can reach approximately 1.8 tonnes without compromising performance.

The Balancing Board System

The reference kinematic anti-vibration Balancing Board System BBS (Patent P.404137) is used in the construction of models marked with the abbreviation BBS. The system consists of a threaded, height-adjustable spike made of high-fiber-content steel alloy, on top of which two elements are placed, each with an inner bearing. An intermediary (middle) element is made of carbon fiber and supports another element, a steel bearing inserted into the shelf. Point contact between the steel spike and the carbon intermediary element prevents movement of either element relative to its axis, but it allows pendular motion. Meanwhile, the contact between the intermediary element and the bearing inserted into the shelf allows restricted rolling motion and sliding motion. Consequently, the advantages of spike point support (contact area has been minimized and kinetic energy turns into heat) have been combined with the effects of deadening vibrations owing to to sliding friction and rolling resistance.
