A two-level design based on the BBS (Balancing Board System), where two sandwich-structured shelves create a controlled working environment for audio cables. The shelves are made of ash wood, characterized by low electrostatic charge susceptibility. The platform elevates cables above the floor and stabilizes their operating conditions.

Speaker, signal, and power cables laid over long distances on floors or carpets are simultaneously exposed to electrostatic fields and mechanical vibrations generated by loudspeakers. The 3T1/BBS has been developed to reduce the influence of both phenomena.

Images may also present alternative finish options, illustrating available material variations.

Structure and vibration control

Rogoz Audio platforms are designed as systems controlling the flow of mechanical energy. In the 3T1/BBS model, two shelves separated by the BBS system introduce controlled freedom of movement while maintaining point support.

This reduces the transfer of vibrations from the floor to the cables and limits their secondary interaction with the signal.

The phenomenon is related to acoustic feedback, where vibrations generated by loudspeakers travel through the floor and structure, affecting signal-carrying elements.

Mechanical vibrations within cables and components can be converted into electrical disturbances (through changes in capacitance and inductance), altering the signal. This may result in micro-distortions, dynamic irregularities, and loss of low-level detail (“black background”).

The 3T1/BBS platform mitigates this effect by controlling mechanical energy flow and isolating cables from the floor.

Geometry and electrostatic behavior

The irregular shape of the top surface reduces symmetrical resonance modes and minimizes the formation of standing waves within the structure.

The variation of dimensions and absence of parallel edges promote even vibration energy dispersion.

The platform’s geometry also supports controlled dissipation of electrostatic fields from the floor, reducing their influence on the cables.

The use of ash wood, with low electrostatic charge tendency, further stabilizes the working environment.

Practical effect

In practice, this results in more stable operating conditions for cables, greater naturalness, and improved coherence and clarity of sound.

ROGOZ AUDIO 3T1/BBS ANTI-VIBRATION PLATFORM FOR SPEAKER, SIGNAL, AND POWER CABLES

Overall, the message was precise and specific: the sound is better with the platforms. I was literally shocked upon hearing the first sounds “from the floor”, and immediately began to feel sorry that my joy of listening will diminish when I part with the Rogoz Audio 3T1/BBS platforms.

When the speaker cables were placed on the platforms, the sound became a bit tighter, closer and loaded. At the same time, my attention was drawn to inconspicuous elements present in many recordings, less noticeable without the platforms. The clarity and sonority of the trebles were also affected. When a piece was played that had some drums fun it in, both metal and wooden, their sound with cables on the platform was more sonorous, melodious and lighter, but not by being less loaded, but by resounding more easily. The better the recording and the more inconspicuous elements it contained, the better they were exposed by the 3T1/BBS.

It is also very interesting how the shaping of the attack changes. Without the stabilizers, the sound is a little drier (this is less marked “personal” acoustics), and it is also less clear and seems softer. Normally it would be an advantage, as natural sound is not contoured and we do not pay attention to the attack – it is there and that’s it. However, here it is related to something a little different. Better defined sound with the stabilizers is more natural and it is not contoured at all. I would say that it is less fuzzy.

The stabilizers make sound become deeper and more gentle. I think that it is about much better reproduction of small signals responsible for the attack and sound finish, as well as about the acoustic surroundings closest to the instruments. It can be heard as an addition of perspective and life to the sound. The former results from better saturation with little details. The sound seems deeper and a bit heavier. However, the effect of weighing down does not result from adding bass, but from greater naturalness of sound. We obtain very similar effects when a device is characterized by low distortion.

The Balancing Board System

The reference kinematic anti-vibration Balancing Board System BBS (Patent P.404137) is used in the construction of models marked with the abbreviation BBS. The system consists of a threaded, height-adjustable spike made of high-fiber-content steel alloy, on top of which two elements are placed, each with an inner bearing. An intermediary (middle) element is made of carbon fiber and supports another element, a steel bearing inserted into the shelf. Point contact between the steel spike and the carbon intermediary element prevents movement of either element relative to its axis, but it allows pendular motion. Meanwhile, the contact between the intermediary element and the bearing inserted into the shelf allows restricted rolling motion and sliding motion. Consequently, the advantages of spike point support (contact area has been minimized and kinetic energy turns into heat) have been combined with the effects of deadening vibrations owing to to sliding friction and rolling resistance.
