Four-level construction based on seven independent, mass-loaded support modules integrated with the BBS (Balancing Board System). The lowest level is supported by four separate BBS load-bearing elements, forming a multi-point, split base structure for the two upper levels, which are further isolated by an additional BBS system. The modules feature varied geometries. The platform employs a sandwich structure and is finished in a matte lacquer (in the presented version: Mastering Grey”).
The GRANDE FINALE/BBS is based on structural solutions known from the FINALE/BBS reference platform, preserving its core operating principles while adapting the design for large and heavy audio components.

The platform incorporates a dual BBS system, where two independent isolation stages operate in a cascaded configuration, resulting in high stability and complex mechanical behavior.

Images may also present alternative finish options, illustrating available color and material variations.

The GRANDE FINALE/BBS combines reference-level vibration control with a structure designed for the most demanding large-scale audio systems.

Structure and vibration control

Rogoz Audio platforms are designed as systems controlling the flow of mechanical energy. In the GRANDE FINALE/BBS model, the interaction between the layered structure and the dual BBS system is fundamental.

The multi-layer shelves prevent energy accumulation and promote gradual dissipation throughout the structure.

The dual BBS system shapes the phase response of the structure, with individual levels moving in different phases, smoothing resonance behavior and reducing local peaks.

The irregular geometry of the modules and the absence of parallel edges reduce symmetrical resonance modes and minimize standing waves.

As a result, vibrations are dissipated in multiple stages through motion, friction, and material properties.

Ergonomics and usability

The distinctive front cut-out is designed to improve access to large components such as reel-to-reel tape machines and reference turntables.

It allows the user to step partially into the platform’s footprint and operate the equipment in a more natural position, without excessive bending.

If such functionality is not required, the platform can also be ordered with a full front panel.

The platform can optionally be equipped with four castors (two with brakes), replacing the standard set of adjustable spikes and Rogoz Audio S40 isolation pads.
Sound performance
In practice, this results in an exceptionally stable, coherent, and controlled presentation, even with high-mass and high-energy components.

The Balancing Board System

The reference kinematic anti-vibration Balancing Board System BBS (Patent P.404137) is used in the construction of models marked with the abbreviation BBS. The system consists of a threaded, height-adjustable spike made of high-fiber-content steel alloy, on top of which two elements are placed, each with an inner bearing. An intermediary (middle) element is made of carbon fiber and supports another element, a steel bearing inserted into the shelf. Point contact between the steel spike and the carbon intermediary element prevents movement of either element relative to its axis, but it allows pendular motion. Meanwhile, the contact between the intermediary element and the bearing inserted into the shelf allows restricted rolling motion and sliding motion. Consequently, the advantages of spike point support (contact area has been minimized and kinetic energy turns into heat) have been combined with the effects of deadening vibrations owing to to sliding friction and rolling resistance.
