The 3S40 audio isolation footers utilizes the principle of material diversification. By combining structurally hardened NZ3 steel with a high-loss ductile brass alloy and a high-modulus hybrid elastomer, a structure with differentiated mechanical impedance and precisely controlled damping characteristics has been achieved.
The central load-bearing spike element and the dedicated S40 protective disc are manufactured from extremely durable NZ3 steel. The two central rings of the structure are made from a high-loss brass alloy with enhanced resonance-dissipation properties.
The steel core ensures uncompromising mechanical stability and precise transmission of vibrational energy, while the massive brass structure effectively dissipates resonances that could not be absorbed by steel alone. The entire assembly is complemented by a high-modulus hybrid elastomer acting as an active damping layer, stabilizing the operating characteristics of the isolator across a wide frequency spectrum.
