A twin-column design built around two thick-walled steel sections measuring 80 × 40 mm, joined to substantial steel top and base plates. The 2QB80-P3 stands are designed to provide stable support for compact monitors in the Harbeth P3ESR family.
The stands are suitable for the Harbeth P3ESR, P3ESR 40th Anniversary, P3ESR XD and P3ESR XD2.
The columns are made from S235JR steel, while the top and base plates use 8 mm S355 structural steel. Both columns can be filled with ballast to increase the mass of the structure and introduce additional internal damping.
The 183 × 183 mm top plate is sized to suit the base of the P3ESR loudspeaker and remains almost entirely hidden beneath the cabinet. The 665 mm stand height is chosen for seated listening, while the slender form complements the proportions of these compact monitors.
The standard finish is finely textured matt black.
STANDS AND HARBETH LOUDSPEAKER DESIGN
The 2QB80-P3 stands provide rigid, substantial support for the loudspeakers. Three soft pads on each top plate separate the loudspeaker cabinet from the steel surface.
Each stand rests on four adjustable cones for precise levelling. The cones are used with the supplied Rogoz Audio G15 isolation discs, which protect the floor surface.
Filling both columns with ballast further increases the structure’s inertia and helps reduce its susceptibility to vibration. The filling openings are closed with the supplied screws.
Stable support and reduced unwanted resonance help create more consistent mechanical conditions for the loudspeakers. Depending on the system and placement, this may contribute to better bass definition, a more stable stereo image and clearer spatial relationships, while preserving the monitors’ natural tonal character.
